Something Wrong with Sarah

An island, a sideline
A place to escape what you can't get away from
the fighting, the spiting
The faces that break you, the space that you pray for
The timing, the crying
The sounds that you hear when you don't want to hear them
The lying, deciding
The ones you should love but instead you most fear them
The hiding, subscribing
to what you 'should' be when it's not who you are
Colliding, redefining
of all that was true but is no longer part of you
This wall too tall to climb
This war too long to fight
There's something wrong with Sarah
There's something she won't say
There's something that she's scared of
No she can't come out to play
Say something, please, say you will
Deceiving, believing
Wondering who in this world you can still trust
Grieving then leaving
Running away from it all but you're still stuck
bleeding then healing
The scars that remain like tattoos on your brain
sleeping but still breathing
cause being awake is what makes you insane
This wall too tall to climb
This war too long to fight
There's something wrong with Sarah
No she can't come out to play
She's the closest she's ever been to the other side
She's lost her faith again
Say something, please...
